What is Panic Pit?
A free-to-play browser party game for up to 16 friends. One person creates a room, everyone else joins with the room code, and you play quick minigames against each other, ranked every round, until someone wins the match.
Is it like Mario Party?
Yes, that's the idea. A match is a run of short minigames against your friends, with points for where you finish. The difference is that Panic Pit runs in a browser tab with nothing to install, fits up to 16 players, and has its own games. If you love Mario Party, you'll feel at home. It is not made by or affiliated with Nintendo.
Is it free?
Yes. Seven games are free forever, with no account. The rest unlock with a one-time pack (from A$2.99), and one host's pack covers everyone in their room.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on a computer, and on phones with touch controls. It also runs as a Discord Activity inside a voice channel.
How many players?
Up to 16 in one room. Bots fill in when you are short, so two friends can play too.
Is Panic Pit the same game as Pit Panic on Steam?
No. Pit Panic is a single-player platformer on Steam and consoles, made by another studio. Panic Pit (panicpit.com) is a multiplayer party game that runs in your browser, with nothing to download.
Can we play over Discord or a video call?
Yes. Everyone plays on their own screen, so it works over any voice or video call: drop the room link in the chat and everyone joins. On Discord you can also launch it as an Activity inside a voice channel, and everyone in the channel lands in the same room.
