Panic Pit
Your friends. One room. Absolute chaos.
Quick-fire minigames for up to 16 friends. Dodge, shove, race, and turn a perfectly normal evening into a grudge match.
Laptop or phone. No download or account needed to play. Love Mario Party? You'll love this: see why.
How it works
- Make a room. Pick a nickname and create a room. You’re the host.
- Bring your friends. Send the invite link, share the room code, or let friends scan your lobby’s QR.
- Let the chaos begin. Choose your minigames. Each round explains the rules before everyone jumps in.
The games
29 minigames. Each has its own page: what a round is like, the controls, and how good players win. See them all.
Action
- Feast of Sekhmet: Chaotic tomato food fight. Hurl ripe sun-tomatoes, catch incoming shots, and slide across slippery puree puddles.
- Hot Potato: A cursed relic burns down in someone's hands. Shove to pass it on before it blows — it only takes whoever is holding it.
- King of the Pyramid: Grab the crown from the top of the temple and keep it. Everyone else is coming to punch it off you.
- Luthang: A backyard bamboo pop-gun battle. One pellet, one knockout — make your shot count!
- Paint the Floor: Every tile you walk over turns your color. Dash across rival territory and grab Paint Bursts in the Sacred Pigment Courtyard of Ptah & Thoth. Most tiles at the buzzer wins.
- Pharaoh's Legion: Recruit clay soldiers into a marching line, bank them at your pyramid, and slash rival lines to steal their tails.
- Sand Cannons: Aim with mouse or arrows, hold for power. Every shell flies at once, craters bite the plateau, the wind changes each volley. Last standing.
- Sands of Time: Hop, sidestep and hide from the hourglass's sand while the floor opens up. Use Rewind to retrace your steps, or step on a plate to bend time for everyone. Face the Sand Guardian and Chrono Titan. Last one standing.
- Solar Standoff: A guessing standoff in a cage over a magma pit. Rivals vanish in the dark: point your sun rifle where you think they went, and at zero every rifle fires its sun orb at once. Three heats; the floor falls away.
- Solar Volley: Guard three canopic urns from a ricocheting sun orb, and volley it into somebody else's.
- Sumo Shove: Shove rivals off a crumbling disc, or blast them with fireballs. Shield to parry one back. Last one standing.
- Tumbang Preso: The Filipino street game: knock the can over with your slipper, then get your slipper back before the tagger tags you.
Survival
- Bomb Arena: Drop bombs, break crates, grab power-ups, be the last one standing. The dead get revenge.
- Buwan-Buwan: The Filipino moonlight tag game: stay inside the moon drawn in the sand. The IT walks only its lines, and tagging swaps who is IT.
- Curfew!: Out after curfew in the barangay, and the power just went out. Hide in the dark from the night guards' flashlights, move when the power flickers back on, and don't get caught.
- Eye of the Sphinx: Ancient Red Light, Green Light. Sprint 110 m down the Grand Temple Hall to the Pharaoh's Gate. Move on RED and the Sphinx takes you.
- Falling Tiles: Quicksand rises, ancient monoliths drop from above. Jump, climb, and shove blocks into lines to dissolve them. Last one standing.
- Light Cycles: Ride a hover disc that leaves a wall of light. Cut the others off, don't touch anything. Last rider standing.
- Mummy Shuffle: A funeral procession shuffles out of the tomb and off the edge of the world. Find the gaps.
Race
- Boulder Escape: Outrun the ancient Megalith Boulder rolling downhill. Jump spikes, slide under gates, dodge obstacles, and reach the sanctuary alive.
- Dune Slider: Surf down the great desert dunes on carved sand sledges, with a sandworm charging down the summit after you. Jump the crevasses, hit the green boost pads, and drop into the emerald oasis.
- Nile Crossing: Sprint race across the perilous subterranean rapids of the Nile. Hop drifting rafts to be the first to ring the Golden Gong! Finished players can spectate the remaining race.
- Tomb Run: Auto-run down the tomb. A/D lanes, W jumps, S slides, Q fires your item. First through the gold gate wins.
Brain
- Mirage Pathway: Memorize the glowing runic path before it fades to stone. Cross the crumbling chasm to the Pharaoh's Altar across 5 escalating waves. Nudge rivals and fire scout flares.
- Pharaoh's Glyph: Remember the symbols. Find the one called. Stay on its tile when the floor falls!
- Sacred Sequence: Watch the Obelisk flash an escalating sequence of sacred runes. When the gong strikes, race to step on the matching rune pads in order. Shove competitors away from the runes they need.
Rhythm
- Pharaoh's Groove: Enter the arrow sequence, then drop the beat in the golden zone to bust out breakdance moves. Highest score wins!
- Ritual Beats: Strike 4 hieroglyphic rune lanes (Q, W, E, R) to the Anubis drum and play the melody. High score wins.
- Sipa: Time your kicks, keep the sipa (shuttlecock washer) in the air, and build unbroken streaks!
A note from the developer
I’m a solo developer, and yes, a frustrated one.
Panic Pit is where I’m putting that energy: a browser party game full of small, chaotic things to play with friends. It’s a project I’m building and improving, one minigame at a time.
If something breaks, feels off, or makes your whole group laugh, I’d like to hear about it. Come say hi on Discord, report a bug, or tell me what you’d love to play next.
